24 July 09 | Sukawati - Tanah Lot

Day 2 will be more interesting because we will be visiting more interesting places...

Breakfast ~ Nasi goreng

Breakfast ~ Mee Goreng

While waiting for the van to arrive, I pose with the motorcycle... pink pink. Hehe... Our first stop was at the Cahayu shop, selling super expensive things. Don't get anything from there because you can get cheaper stuffs at Sukawati. Next stop, the drive dropped us at Emas and Perak shop. We were like, hey.... please drop us straight at Sukawati.

Finally, we arrived at Sukawati after few rounds of turning left and right. This was the famous fruit in Bali called as Salak. Quite special and you should try...

The arts here were really good, they were such talented ppl and what a waste, their arts were only stucked at Bali. This is the place you can bargain until the sky drop. Quickly bargain because every shops were selling the same thing and they were afraid they lost to their next door competitors, so once you were there, bargain bargain! A painting for RP25,000 was sap sap sui for us but meant a lot for them. Pity them.. their hard earn living, still I bargain until so low. So sorry... ;p

The hat I bought for only RP14,000.... extremely cheap!
Having bakso for lunch.... I tell you, this was my first time trying this and I fell in love with the soup and beef ball. Awesome!!! I will want to come here again for the bakso.....

The largest ball was not beef, but egg ball. Portion was small, so order two. You can order their Mie Ayam as well, quite special and worth trying. RP5000 for a bowl, all standard size.

Opt for this stall yea..... best bakso in Bali.

Teh botol... taste like jasmine tea.

Indonesian Rojak ~ known as Ketoprak.

Pie Susu ~ made of condense milk, worth trying as well. You can get this in one of the shops in Sukawati. Only RP1000.... After few rounds of shopping in Sukawati, eventually we had to say STOP to ourselves, otherwise we will left with ZERO rupiahs. The things there were so cheap that you can actually buy buy and buy nonstop. After Sukawati, the next stop was to Babi Guling for a light lunch. Babi Guling is special in Bali, whereby it was actually a roast pork stuffed with their home-made spices.

They actually roast the pig in their house and brought it over to the shop. Look at their strong neck!
OMG.... I was so geli with this and due to this, the taste is so so only cause I felt nausea looking at the head! When I ate the rice, I will remember the pig's head. Gosh....

One plate for about RP25-30,000. Depends on what you order.... Lots of choices, but I still prefer our Malaysia's charsiew siew yoke. But, good to try, at least you know.

All of us waiting patiently.... just can't wait when you see so many ppl queing up waiting for seats.
We supposed to try this as well, Bebek Bengil known as Crispy duck. Too bad, we were so full and no space anymore for this! So, next time larh..... Next stop was to a temple in Bali known as
Pura Taman Ayun.

Entrance fee was RP5000 if I'm not wrong, couldn't remember as well.

Attention to those who wanted to visit this Temple....

This main gate is only open on the every 6 months and 50 years.

With the tour guide of the temple.... a lot of interesting stories that he told us. Quite good... and it's free tourguide... most importantly. =D

Brilly, Justin, me, Mei Yin and Emeryn....
We were now at Tanah Lot.... the most beautiful place in Bali. Too bad, we do not have time to Kintamani, one of the nice sceneries in Bali too.. the volcano with paddy plantation. Awesome... It's ok, next trip I shall go... =D

Aren't the ppl there good in arts??

The jagung bakar at Tanah Lot was not as good as the one in Jimbaran Bay. So, make sure if you are going to Jimbaran, don't miss out the spicy jagung bakar.

It was time for SPA again. This time we went to the SPA BALI just few doors away from our hotel and yeah, this time me and hubby enrolled in the couple spa, with free flower bath. The feeling was a bit great, but a bit shy shy too.. especially during the scrub session. Haha...

The coconut that used for scrub....

Mandi Bunga ~ So nice..... I want to build this big tub in my house too. Future landed house if possible. Hehehe....
We had our dinner after SPA, can consider as supper cause it was already 11pm and we had the famous Terang Bulan for dinner. I wanted to try the Sapi(beef)+Jamur(mushroom) but they dun have enough stock for Jamur, time to close shop maybe. I tried the ayam special and it cost only RP13,000. Very big portion, can actually share for two persons.... If ayam + jamur then is RP15,000.

Worth trying, very different from out murtabak because the outer layer of skin is crispy!
Our day 2 ended at this mamak and next day will be whole day beach day!
