23 July 09 | Mastapa Garden Hotel - Kuta Beach - Jimbaran Bay - Green Grass Spa

We started our journey from Damansara to LCCT about 7.45am. We were actually late about 1/2hour because our flight was on 9.25am and we need to check-in by 8.25am. You can imagine, how fast the driver drove ... to ensure we managed to catch the flight. Well, let the pictures do the talking and enjoy. =)

Due to the rush-ness, I didn't manage to catch any breakfast, not even a cup of milo. And I was super hungry when I board the plane. Even a normal nasi lemak also became so delicious, like the one at Madam Kwan.

We reached Denpasar, Bali after 3 hours of flight. Thanks for a safe journey!

The counters on the right were all the money exchange counters and they will be shouting as if they were selling bus tickets. Just like the counters at Puduraya, shouting and promoting.

Me and Emeryn at Gunung Sari Restaurant - airport, while waiting for my hubby and gang to arrive. Their flight was 1.5 hours later than us.

Iced campure ~ worth 12,500 rupiah. Equivalent to our Rm3.50. Still ok.. but I still think the one at my hometown is still the best. Hehe..

Iced Cendol ~ Also 12,500 rupiah. Their cendol is a bit different than the one in Msia. Theirs look more like green jelly and cut into strips.

Finally, everyone arrived and we left the airport to our hotel, Mastapa Garden Hotel at Kuta, Bali. The road in Bali was super small, they even call one of their roads jalan tikus. You can imagine how small is a tikus is, and that's how they describe the road, one small lane road but used as two lanes. That's absolutely dangerous!

Our hotel's swimming pool. This hotel doesn't have any stars but cheap. We paid 350000 rupiah per person for a twin sharing bed for 3 days 2 nights. Cheap? Don't expect too much from a cheap hotel, look at how much you pay and that's what you get. We were so afraid to use the bathroom cause of the condition, that we actually enrolled in two nights of Spa and ensure that the Spas provide free bath so that we can escape ourselves from bathing in the hotel's toilet. This was so funny.

We quickly unpack our bags, change to seaside clothes and then, sightseeing in the Kuta town.
Kuta town ...

Kuta beach ~ good for surfing and beware of the strong waves... the waves can actually act as a free back massage for you. FOC and strong....

Mei Yin, me and Emeryn.... Such a perfect weather for beach!

Look at all the angmo's turned from white to red to black!

Brilly and Justin ~ tis view was superb and breathtaking! Check out the reflection... amazing!

After beach... look at how much we had to pay. If I need to kencing + cuci kaki, I need to pay RP2000. Expensive or cheap? They are so good in categorizing....

I paid RP1000 for a shoot of water.... After washing our legs, we headed to Jimbaran Bay for our dinner. This place was highly recommended by our friends due to the delicious and fresh seafood.

Choose the types of seafood that you want and all are weight in KG. The crabs were super expensive, about RM200 for two only. I wonder what king crab is that. So, we eliminated crabs..With Rm200, you can easily enjoy 5 meals of crab in KL. Haha.... Finally, we ordered 1 big sotong bakar, 1 big fried sotong, 1 garoupa cooked with sweet sour sauce, 1 ikan merah bakar and 5 big prawns bakar.
Justin holding the dead lobster...

After ordered the food, proceed to the beach and this was were you will be seated. So romantic especially night time and really good for couple! Just like baywatch..

Me, Mei Yin, Emeryn and Brilly ~ Coconut drink is a must at beach....

While waiting for our food to arrived...

Justin and Brilly...

Thanks to Brilly... if he was not the first person to try this, we will miss out the awesome spicy honey jagung bakar at Bali! This jagung was so good that you will not find the similar taste anywhere else. Only in Jimbaran. Make sure if you were here, try the spicy jagung bakar. Too delicious to be denied and pay only RP10,000. Not too expensive, but worth it!

Look at the appetizing food... I really love the food here so much! If I were to go back Bali again, I will go to Jimbaran Bay for the seafood, Spa and also beach!

Brilly : I'm enjoying the every bite of tis jagung!

Sotong bakar ~

The band behind were not free yea.... we actually donated RP1000 for a rasa sayang song...

The night view at the beach..... no mosquitoes, but relaxing, breathtaking and yes, the breeze from the sea is just so refreshing!

Total : RP826,000....On the first day we were already broke because of this meal. But worth it...Make sure you make a trip here as well. Do not miss out the breathtaking view and splendid food at here!
First night of our trip, we had a cheaper Spa at Green Grass along Kuta or also known as Jln Legian if I'm not wrong. Among all the Spas that we visited, we only trust this shop and the other one was Spa Bali which we planned to go the next night.

After Spa ~ look at Brilly promoting his smooth skin after massage and scrub.

And Justin, enjoying the moment being massaged by a guy... lol.
Only RP85,000 for a Massage/scrub... worth it ?? Will you get this good bargain at KL? Definitely not!

This was the hotel we were staying in.... cheap but so so quality. Still can stay, better use all your money for SPA and not for a 5 star hotel!
That was all about our day 1.......

24 July 09 | Sukawati - Tanah Lot

Day 2 will be more interesting because we will be visiting more interesting places...

Breakfast ~ Nasi goreng

Breakfast ~ Mee Goreng

While waiting for the van to arrive, I pose with the motorcycle... pink pink. Hehe... Our first stop was at the Cahayu shop, selling super expensive things. Don't get anything from there because you can get cheaper stuffs at Sukawati. Next stop, the drive dropped us at Emas and Perak shop. We were like, hey.... please drop us straight at Sukawati.

Finally, we arrived at Sukawati after few rounds of turning left and right. This was the famous fruit in Bali called as Salak. Quite special and you should try...

The arts here were really good, they were such talented ppl and what a waste, their arts were only stucked at Bali. This is the place you can bargain until the sky drop. Quickly bargain because every shops were selling the same thing and they were afraid they lost to their next door competitors, so once you were there, bargain bargain! A painting for RP25,000 was sap sap sui for us but meant a lot for them. Pity them.. their hard earn living, still I bargain until so low. So sorry... ;p

The hat I bought for only RP14,000.... extremely cheap!
Having bakso for lunch.... I tell you, this was my first time trying this and I fell in love with the soup and beef ball. Awesome!!! I will want to come here again for the bakso.....

The largest ball was not beef, but egg ball. Portion was small, so order two. You can order their Mie Ayam as well, quite special and worth trying. RP5000 for a bowl, all standard size.

Opt for this stall yea..... best bakso in Bali.

Teh botol... taste like jasmine tea.

Indonesian Rojak ~ known as Ketoprak.

Pie Susu ~ made of condense milk, worth trying as well. You can get this in one of the shops in Sukawati. Only RP1000.... After few rounds of shopping in Sukawati, eventually we had to say STOP to ourselves, otherwise we will left with ZERO rupiahs. The things there were so cheap that you can actually buy buy and buy nonstop. After Sukawati, the next stop was to Babi Guling for a light lunch. Babi Guling is special in Bali, whereby it was actually a roast pork stuffed with their home-made spices.

They actually roast the pig in their house and brought it over to the shop. Look at their strong neck!
OMG.... I was so geli with this and due to this, the taste is so so only cause I felt nausea looking at the head! When I ate the rice, I will remember the pig's head. Gosh....

One plate for about RP25-30,000. Depends on what you order.... Lots of choices, but I still prefer our Malaysia's charsiew siew yoke. But, good to try, at least you know.

All of us waiting patiently.... just can't wait when you see so many ppl queing up waiting for seats.
We supposed to try this as well, Bebek Bengil known as Crispy duck. Too bad, we were so full and no space anymore for this! So, next time larh..... Next stop was to a temple in Bali known as
Pura Taman Ayun.

Entrance fee was RP5000 if I'm not wrong, couldn't remember as well.

Attention to those who wanted to visit this Temple....

This main gate is only open on the every 6 months and 50 years.

With the tour guide of the temple.... a lot of interesting stories that he told us. Quite good... and it's free tourguide... most importantly. =D

Brilly, Justin, me, Mei Yin and Emeryn....
We were now at Tanah Lot.... the most beautiful place in Bali. Too bad, we do not have time to Kintamani, one of the nice sceneries in Bali too.. the volcano with paddy plantation. Awesome... It's ok, next trip I shall go... =D

Aren't the ppl there good in arts??

The jagung bakar at Tanah Lot was not as good as the one in Jimbaran Bay. So, make sure if you are going to Jimbaran, don't miss out the spicy jagung bakar.

It was time for SPA again. This time we went to the SPA BALI just few doors away from our hotel and yeah, this time me and hubby enrolled in the couple spa, with free flower bath. The feeling was a bit great, but a bit shy shy too.. especially during the scrub session. Haha...

The coconut that used for scrub....

Mandi Bunga ~ So nice..... I want to build this big tub in my house too. Future landed house if possible. Hehehe....
We had our dinner after SPA, can consider as supper cause it was already 11pm and we had the famous Terang Bulan for dinner. I wanted to try the Sapi(beef)+Jamur(mushroom) but they dun have enough stock for Jamur, time to close shop maybe. I tried the ayam special and it cost only RP13,000. Very big portion, can actually share for two persons.... If ayam + jamur then is RP15,000.

Worth trying, very different from out murtabak because the outer layer of skin is crispy!
Our day 2 ended at this mamak and next day will be whole day beach day!

Bali Splendour
